Are you a inactive (potato couch) or not?
Before you start a new healthy life and lifestyle keeps that day to determine what your needs are and what’s your goals are.
To determine your needs you need to know your health condition and your habit are.If you are inactive you won't start as fast as a already active person.
Before you start any exercise you should go to a doctor office. The doctor will determine your health condition. This is your starting point, if you have a really poor health you’ll want to start your new lifestyle really slowly, because your body won’t be able to work on a high intensity workout. You can't start from being inactive to a really active lifestyle you need a step by step approach. If you have a good health, you can start a bit faster but don’t start to do a marathon in your fist day your body will shut down. As you can see the better your health the faster you can start to be active. This is why it’s so important to go see a doctor; if you don’t take these precautions you could hurt yourself really bad.
After the doctor visit, you need to determine if you are an active person or not:
How to determine if you are an active person?
From a personal view would you say you are active to your friends or family without lying? If you have the feeling that you are lying when you say that you are active you probably don’t. This is the first step; you need to be able to say that you have a problem in that field in your life. Maybe the other fields of your life are a big success, but if you’re not healthy you probably don’t have a lot of healthy years in front of you. By healthy years, I want to say; with no illness where you can have a productive life.
If you find yourself sitting or lay down most of the time after your job, you are probably a potato couch. What you will want to do is to determine how much time you spent listening to T.V. per week. If it’s more than 30 hours you will want to diminish it, it can sound a lot 30 hours per week, but this is what the majority of north-American do per week. Yeah it’s a lot so CHOOSE not to be in that statistic! Imagine if you need to sit at a computer all day long at your job! It represents more than 70 hours per week sitting at a screen the only time left is for eating where you sit and for sleeping. Don’t ask why you are out of shape if you have that routine.
